Academic Background Required for Maritime Cadet Entry
Applicants interested in joining Pakistan Marine Academy must have completed F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) or A-Level with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
Candidates need at least 55% marks in F.Sc or equivalent qualification. Those appearing in F.Sc Part-II can also apply if they have secured a minimum of 60% marks in Part-I and submit a Hope Certificate from their college head.
A-Level applicants must attach valid equivalency certificates for O-Level and A-Level qualifications. Failure to provide required documents within the given period may result in cancellation of candidature.
Age Limit and Applicant Conditions

The admission opportunity is available for unmarried male Pakistani citizens.
Candidates should not be older than 20 years as of December 31, 2026. Applicants from FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK and Balochistan will receive one year age relaxation, with the maximum age limit of 21 years.

Selection Process Followed by Pakistan Marine Academy
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages conducted under the supervision of the Higher Education Commission.
Candidates will appear for entry tests in cities including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, Quetta, Sukkur and Muzaffarabad.

Branch allocation depends on candidate preference, Medical and Maritime requirements, and available seats. The academy offers 75 seats each for Nautical (Deck) and Engineering branches.
