The Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD), Government of Punjab, has launched a new recruitment drive under the Developing Resilient Environment and Advancing Municipal Services (DREAMS-I) Project. Qualified professionals from Punjab can apply online for multiple contract-based positions before 25 July 2026.

The DREAMS-I Project is being implemented to strengthen municipal services and urban infrastructure across Punjab with support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). To support project implementation, the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) is recruiting experienced professionals for its City Implementation Team in Rawalpindi. Appointments will initially be made for one year and may be extended depending on project requirements and satisfactory performance.

Professional Profiles the Department is Looking For

Applicants for the Civil Infrastructure Expert position should possess a graduate or postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with approximately five years of relevant professional experience. Previous involvement in infrastructure development projects will be considered an advantage.

The Social Mobilizers – Community Engagement Program vacancies require graduates or postgraduates in Mass Communication, Sociology, Social Sciences, Gender Studies or related fields. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in social development initiatives, gender inclusion, stakeholder engagement and community mobilization. Knowledge of Urdu and Saraiki, along with fieldwork experience in Rawalpindi, is essential.

Mechanical Infrastructure Expert applicants must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of relevant experience, particularly in water supply and sanitation infrastructure projects.

For the Gender Expert role, candidates should have qualifications in Gender Studies, Social Sciences or a similar discipline. The department expects a minimum of four years of professional experience in gender mainstreaming, social safeguards and development projects. Experience with international donor-funded programmes and knowledge of gender-related laws and policies will receive preference.

Monitoring & Evaluation Expert candidates should possess an Engineering degree along with five years of general experience, including at least two years dedicated to monitoring and evaluation activities. Strong English communication and reporting skills are required.

Contract Terms and Important Notes

Appointments will be made on a contract basis for one year. Extensions may be granted depending on individual performance and project continuation.

Salary packages will be market-based and paid according to the approved PC-I of the DREAMS-I Project.
